These two were so cute together. They were so comfortable and so proud to be with the other! They reached out to me because they were planning their big day and wanted to set an example for their families’ younger generation that getting married before kids is a great way to start a lifetime commitment with someone. They said they wanted to show how it’s important to really get to know your partner and that a wedding was a celebration of their choice to do life together. I totally related to this! In my Hispanic family, Katy and I, are the only cousins who planned a wedding and now planning kids. It’s pretty common to meet someone, have kids, and never officially get married. I raise my glass to these two for setting such a great example!
